Here’s something I’ve learned the hard way:
You don’t need a complicated business. You need a business that works for you.
When I was rebuilding after burnout, I wasn’t trying to grow fast or impress anyone.
I just wanted to stop feeling like I was drowning in tabs, tools, and to-dos.
And that’s when I realised — simplicity is a strategy.
Not fancy dashboards. Not 17-step funnels.
Just calm, clear systems that gave me room to think and space to create.
Step one? Get my Notion hub in order.
I’d been throwing everything in there for years — ideas, resources, plans. It was all there.
It just needed organising.
Once I did that, I could finally see what I’d already built… and what I wanted to do next.
This part had been hanging over me for ages.
You know the kind of project — where you think about it every week but never quite do it?
I got my website live (phase one — not perfect, but done)
I set up my funnel and email automation
I created a system for batching content, instead of writing it in a rush
I wrote out my offers clearly — not just in my head, but in a way that makes sense to others
And I hired someone to help with the backend setup.
Because even though I can do tech, it’s not the best use of my time (or energy).
And honestly? It’s not what lights me up.
Now, everything has a place.
And that gives me space to focus on what I actually want to do:
Create. Connect. Help people build businesses they love.
It also means I don’t have to keep everything in my head.
Which — if you’re anything like me — is a huge relief.
Pick one thing that’s currently causing chaos.
Then ask:
What’s the real problem here?
Can I simplify it?
Can I outsource it?
Do I even need it?
Simplicity doesn’t mean doing less.
It means removing the clutter so the important things stand out.
